SMALL ROOMS · KOREAN HOSTS

Korean practice for people who can't speak it yet.

Small topic rooms with a Korean host. Start with a short lesson, write a line when you're ready, and get a reply from a person — not a match.

Your first room is free. No card needed.

비빔밥 먹었어요!

Seo · Host

와, 비빔밥 맛있죠! 어디서 먹었어요?

Pronunciation: lovely. Try a little more stress on "먹었어요" — the ㄱ links into the next syllable.

Example of a beginner room. Hosts reply when they drop in — usually within the day.

How a room works

01

Pick a room

Rooms are sorted by topic and level. A five-minute level check points you to the right one — or skip it and walk in.

02

Write first, speak when ready

Nothing is live. Type a line, take your time, and send a voice note only when you want to.

03

Your host replies

The host answers, corrects gently, and keeps the room going. Other learners are there in between.

You came to practice Korean. That's all you have to do here.

Small, not crowded

A handful of learners per room, so your message doesn't scroll away before anyone reads it.

A host who answers for it

Hosts are tracked on how reliably they reply. A room isn't left to whoever happens to show up.

Open rooms, no inbox

There are no private messages. Nobody can slide into your DMs, because there aren't any. Report or block in one tap, and a person reviews it.

Lessons that lead somewhere

Short lessons, from reading Hangul onward, each ending in a room where you use what you just learned.

WHY SMALL

Hangul Hangout is built in Korea and kept deliberately small. Rooms hold a handful of people, nothing happens in private, and you can leave when you're done. You're here to practice Korean — not to make a stranger your friend. Though if that happens, that's fine too.
